‘Obstacle Course’
In 2022I’d been photographing in and around in and around the coastal town of Zadar, Croatia.
I’d arrived at a cliff overlooking one of the beaches at dusk and saw the inflatable obstacle course floating just offshore.
In the soft evening light it offered a surreal juxtaposition to the traditional peaceful coastal scene.
I noticed people swimming towards out and thought I’d wait to see what happened.
As they began playing and battling one another on the course, I took my photograph, liking the human prescence and sense of scale they add.
