In 2017 the UK charity Heritage Crafts published The Red List of Endangered Crafts. The list ranks traditional crafts by the likelihood they will survive into the next generation. As part of an ongoing project I’ve been photographing crafts people on the list throughout the UK. Two Rivers are one of just a handful of hand-papermills left in Europe, papermaking is currently ranked as ‘Critically Endangered’ on The Red List.
